Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Louisa County Water Authority in Louisa County

Issued May 10, 2025

The Virginia Department of Health and Blue Ridge Health District in conjunction with the Louisa County Water Authority Waterworks are advising residents in the area served by the Louisa County Water Authority Zion Crossroads Service Area in Louisa County VA., that it is no longer necessary to boil water before using it.

Customers were notified on May 7, 2025 to boil the water before using it out of an abundance of caution due to the loss of pressure in the water distribution system during repair activities that occurred at the water storage tank.

Bacteriological samples collected on May 8, 2025 and May 9, 2025were absent of total coliform bacteria and E. coli indicating the loss of pressure did not result in the introduction of these bacteria into the water system.

For more information contact Pam Baughman at 540-967-1122.
